From the guys who gave us the remarkable stop-motion film, Coraline, comes my favorite animated movie of the year, ParaNorman! Because we're such big fans, we want you to have a chance to check it out a little bit early by attending a free advance screening at Regal Gallery Place on August 16th at 7pm.
We've got 50 Admit-Two passes to the event, which we'll provide to the first 50 who reply to this post with their full name, email address, and favorite monster movie. Only those who are fans of Punch Drunk Critics on Facebook will qualify, so if you haven't done it yet, "Like" our page now. We won't be using Gofobo for this screening. Instead, we have hard tickets, and will keep a list of all the winners and provide you with the passes at the screening. As always, entry is first come/first served, so you'll want to arrive about 90 minutes early so that we can locate you and ensure you get a seat. Additional details will be ironed out when the winners are contacted via email on Tuesday, August 14th.
ParaNorman features the voices of Kodi Smit-McPhee, Casey Affleck, and Anna Kendrick in a story that follows Norman, a boy gifted(or cursed) with the ability to communicate with the dead. When his hometown is overrun by zombies, the townsfolk who find him so weird will have to turn to him as their only hope of survival.
