Teaser trailer for 'The Girl', starring Toby Jones as Alfred Hitchcock

There are a couple of Alfred Hitchcock movies on the way, which means two chances we'll get to see someone portray the legendary filmmaker. The first out of the gate is the one I'm most interested in, and that's The Girl, which has Toby Jones playing Hitchcock and Sienna Miller as his muse/obsession, Tippi Hedren.  When Jones took on the role of Truman Capote in the biopic, Infamous, he was vastly overshadowed by Philip Seymour Hoffman's Oscar-winning turn in Capote. So maybe now it'll be Jones who comes out on top ahead of Anthony Hopkins' portrayal in Hitchcock.

HBO has released a new teaser for the film, with Jones and Miller looking dead on perfect in the leads. Directed by Julian Jarrold(Brideshead Revisited), The Girl follows the making of one of Hitchcock's classics, The Birds, which starred Hedren in her defining role. She would also go on to star in Marnie for the director, but his obsession with her had a dark side which came out when she dared defy him. It should make for a more interesting look at the making of a notable film than My Week with Marilyn was.

The Girl will debut on HBO on October 9th....
