While many are lamenting the loss of Matthew Vaughn as director of Kick-Ass 2, what they lost behind the camera is being made up for in front of it. Clearly, the biggest get for the film was the addition of Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars, the most senior member of Kick-Ass's team of heroes known as Justice Forever.
Jeff Wadlow has been filming Kick-Ass 2 in Toronto for a few days now, and we've already seen a ton of set photos. Now video has emerged which gives us our first look at Carrey as Colonel Stars, along with the lovely Lindy Booth as Night Bitch, and Robert Emms as Insect Man, and Aaron Johnson back as Kick-Ass. Carrey seems to be having a good time interacting with the rest of the young cast. I'm curious to see who is playing Lieutenant Stripes, Carrey's brother in the film. Don't think we've heard anything about that yet.
