Four new character posters for 'Oz the Great and Powerful'

*UPDATE* Two more character posters, each as badly Photoshopped as the others, have been released. Thus the foursome is complete. What, no Zach Braff poster? Where is he in all this, anyway?

You see that dapper, inviting James Franco on the new poster for Oz the Great and Powerful? That guy was at Sundance with three sexually charged films you'll probably never see at your local Multiplex. Ok, maybe Lovelace will make it there, but you may wish it didn't. Anyway, it's mainstream movies like 'Oz' that keep him dabbling in his more experimental, controversial ventures.

Two new character posters have emerged for Sam Raimi's prequel to The Wizard of Oz, one featuring James Franco as small-time magician Oscar Diggs, who gets whisked away to the Emerald City where he runs into the three witches, including the evil Evanora played by Rachel Weisz. There was a great deal of positive heat surrounding this one last summer, but it seems to have died down as more footage has been released, perhaps because it doesn't always look so good. But surely Raimi would know better than to screw up in such a spectacular fashion, right? The cast, which includes Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams, is too good to think this will be a total disaster.

Oz the Great and Powerful opens on March 8th.
