Remember back in 2010, after Tina Fey and Steve Carell successfully teamed up for the comedy Date Night, everyone was wondering when they would next get together? They were such a natural pair that it seemed like we shouldn't have to wait long, and soon we began hearing more about Mail Order Groom as their next project. Well, it took a bit longer than expected, but it may finally be happening.
After accepting her SAG award for Outstanding Female Performance in a Comedy for 30 Rock, Fey revealed that she hopes to hook up with Carell and shoot the film this summer. The story, developed by her husband Jeff Richmond, has Fey as a lonely woman who orders an Eastern European soldier in the mail. A number of folks have taken a shot at the script, from Glenn Ficarra and John Requa(Crazy Stupid Love), to Fey and writing partner Robert Carlock.
She's all but done with 30 Rock now, with the final episode completed and due to air soon. She'll be moving on to hang out with Kermit and Ricky Gervais for The Muppets sequel. [Popsugar]
