There's something interesting going on in one of these new photos for Iron Man 3. The images come from the latest issue of Empire, which debuted the cover image we revealed earlier this morning. Two of the photos are fairly standard, with one showing Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) looking on at a smug Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) and the other of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.). It's the other one of Stark and James "War Machine" Rhodes (Don Cheadle) that's curious.
In it, we see a bruised Stark wearing an AIM t-shirt while Rhodes appears ready to bust a cap at somebody if called upon. AIM stands for Advanced Idea Mechanics, a rival of Stark Enterprises. Is it possible Stark is so utterly ruined he's forced to work for the competition? We know AIM plays a part in the film, but this would indicate their presence is pretty big.
Or maybe it's just Stark being a jerk by wearing the shirt of a company he knows is beneath him? We'll find out when Iron Man 3 opens on May 3rd. [via Superhero Hype]
