It's like clockwork. Every time a new Transformers movie is in the works one of the first rumors to surface is that the popular Dinobots will finally make their appearance. So far all of that talk has amounted to absolutely nothing, but now that Michael Bay is busy prepping Transformers 4, the buzz that Grimlock, Swoop, Slag, Sludge, and Snarl will stomp into the action has emerged yet again. There could be some plot spoilers beyond this point, so beware.....
This time the info comes from Joblo, who have a source who claims that not only will the Dinobots be involved, but that Ehren Kruger's script calls for a scene in which Optimus Prime and Bumblebee ride them into battle on the streets of Hong Kong. One of the villains is said to be Lockdown, who commands a fleet of decommissioned Transformers, which includes the Dinobots. The Autobot known as Hound is also said to appear, along with a samurai Decepticon looking to reclaim his honor. The only samurai Decepticon I can think of is Bludgeon, who was one of their fiercest leaders and a master of the Transformer martial art of Metallikato. Not kidding. You can probably look it up.
With Megatron presumably dead, it also looks like Galvatron will finally be making his live-action debut. He's essentially a reborn, all-powerful version of Megatron, given increased powers and weaponry by the sentient planet, Unicron. These are all just rumors, and chances are we won't know anything concrete for awhile. So just file it away and remember it later when confirmations finally come down. Starring Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, and Li Bingbing, Transformers 4 hits theaters on June 27th 2014.
