First 'Transformers 4' Poster Confirms Title is 'Age of Extinction'
The last couple of days have seen rumors circulating about the title of Michael Bay's fourth Transformers film. A number of domain names were registered by Paramount, usually a sure-fire indicator of what the title is going to be, and now today it's proven to be an effective method once again. The first poster for Transformers 4 has been released, and with it confirmation that we can officially begin referring to it as Transformers: Age of Extinction.
Based on what little we know about the plot, it will take place a few years after Revenge of the Fallen, and may include Optimus Prime and the Autobots battling the Decepticons across different eras, hence the title and the confirmed presence of the popular Dinobots. Here's the synopsis that was revealed back in March...
As humanity picks up the pieces, following the conclusion of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet. However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs. The epic adventure and battle between good and evil, freedom and enslavement ensues.
Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Li Bingbing, TJ Miller, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Titus Welliver, and Han Geng make up the principle cast.
So what do you think? Transformers: Age of Extinction opens on June 27th 2014.
