America has been a great deal of peril this year. Specifically, the White House has been the target of terrorists twice in Olympus Has Fallen and White House Down, and surprisingly it was the Gerard Butler led, Antoine Fuqua-directed film that beat the pants off of Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx's flick. But now that America is safe, Butler's got some saving to do abroad...that is if he can stop laughing from the terrible title.
Yep, an Olympus Has Fallen sequel is now in the works, and the LOL-inducing title will be London Has Fallen. And before you say "Oh this is just one of those bad Latino Review rumors, right?", know that this news comes from ScreenDaily and that production is already gearing up for a May start. The entire cast of Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart, Angela Bassett, Radha Mitchell and of course Gerard Butler will return to kick some English arse when the British Prime Minister's funeral becomes the target of terrorists.
Original writers Katrin Benedikt and Creighton Rothberger are penning the script, and they deserve it because the first film grossed more than $160M. Before the action can begin a director still needs to be found so keep an eye out for that.
