For years Jensen Ackles has been a staple on TV. He started off his career on the soap opera All My Children and had a recurring role on the last season of Dawson's Creek before becoming a series regular as Alec on James Cameron's Dark Angel opposite Jessica Alba. Ackles was even the second choice to play Clark Kent on Smallville after Tom Welling, and appeared on the show's fourth season as Jane Seymour's son Jason Teague.
Luckily for us, he didn't get the role as Clark Kent. If that had happened, TV would have cast someone else as Dean Winchester and that would have been completely unacceptable. Ackles is most recognized and most popular for his role as one half of the brotherly demon-hunting duo on the CW drama Supernatural.
Outside of TV, Ackles dabbled in a couple of movie roles, most notable the remake of My Bloody Valentine 3D, the indie film Ten Inch Hero, and most recently voiced the character of Jason Todd in the animated movie Batman: Under the Red Hood. After Supernatural eventually ends, it will be great to see Ackles expand on his talent and become a staple on movie screens as well. Because not only is this man smoking hot, he's also a very talented actor.
