Idris Elba Terrorizes Taraji P. Henson in Trailer for 'No Good Deed'

Idris Elba is such an actor that even his crappy movies seem like good ideas. This is after all the guy who starred in the wildly terrible "white girl stalking" flick Obsessed, and did his best even though Beyonce (upstaged by Ali Larter, by the way) gave him nothing to work with. So when a trailer for a trashy flick like No Good Deed arrives and Elba's name is headlining it, best to just give him the benefit of the doubt.

Elba stars alongside Taraji P. Henson, playing a handsome ex-con who charms his way into a single mother's home and proceeds to terrorize her and the kids. This looks pretty awful and like the kind of film both Elba and Henson took to fill an unexpected gap in their schedule, not because they thought the script was killer. On the plus side Will Packer (Ride Along, Think Like a Man) is producing and everything he touches makes money nowadays. Well, everything with Kevin Hart anyway. And Elba did enlist his Luther director Sam Miller so there's a working relationship that could be beneficial. Yeah, this still looks bad.

No Good Deed opens September 12th.
