Will Ferrell Reportedly Joins Julie Delpy's 'A Dazzling Display of Splendor'

Sometimes it's all about who you know. A few months ago we learned Will Ferrell would be starring in Richard Linklater's upcoming dramedy, Larry's Kidney, playing author Daniel Asa Rose. Perhaps somewhere along the way Linklater gave a nudge to his good friend and frequent collaborator Julie Delpy (Before Midnight) to give Ferrell a call, because a report over at The Tracking Board claims he will be leading her next project.

Ferrell will reportedly take the male lead in A Dazzling Display of Splendor, Delpy's film she co-wrote with Stephen Hamel. The story sounds like it would be right up Ferrell's alley and "follows a family of Vaudeville performers embarking on a cross-country road trip from New York to Los Angeles while making a motion picture."

We'll see if any of this pans out, but the combination of Ferrell and Delpy is definitely one worth getting excited about. Delpy's last film, the Woody Allen-esque 2 Days in New York, was pretty funny and she clicked right away with co-star Chris Rock. While it doesn't seem as if she's taking a starring role in 'Splendor' (yet), there's every reason to think she can work with Ferrell just as well.
