While we await word on if Will Ferrell will star in Julie Delpy's Vaudeville comedy A Dazzling Display of Splendor, he's now become attached to another laugher about stage performers. Variety reports Ferrell will star in an untitled comedy about the competitive world of Shakespearean theater actors. Okay.
The film is based on an original pitch by Mosaic (?) and is set inside a theater company. No director has been decided on yet but the screenplay will be written by David Guion and Michael Handelman, who wrote Dinner for Schmucks and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.
The project is set up over at Sony, the home for many of Ferrell's past comedy hits.
