In setting up the latest clip from Fifty Shades of Grey on The Today Show, an arrangement that must Savannah Guthrie squealing like a cheerleader, author E.L. James said "Christian shows Ana something very big". Poor Carson Daly. Yeah, that's the level of seriousness those close to the film are showing towards it, so why should the rest of us consider it more than just an R-rated curiosity?
Whatever the case, the scene has Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) introducing Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) to his "playroom", but this is more than just your average man cave. While we don't get to see what it contains, I think we can assume "chips dips chains whips" are the order of the day. Minus the chips. The scene is pretty short but then the rest is rather awkward conversation between Daly and James where he tries to find something to ask her that isn't embarrassing.
Fifty Shades of Grey opens February 13th, and reportedly features 20 minutes of sex scenes which should be like catnip to the book's rabid audience. You can check out the previously released clips here and here.
