IMAX Trailer for Will Smith and Margot Robbie's 'Focus'

There seems to be some debate whether or not Will Smith can carry a con-man film like Focus to a big opening weekend later this month. The point others have tried to make is that he's no longer a draw; that a flop like After Earth has pretty much spoiled him to audiences, but I disagree. I think his fans, of which there are still many, have been waiting to see him in a sexy, charismatic role again, and alongside the red-hot Margot Robbie he has the perfect vehicle to make that happen.

But would anybody expect this to be a natural fit for IMAX? Apparently somebody does because the flick is getting an IMAX run, preceded by this new trailer with a lot of never-before-seen footage. Smith plays a veteran con man who hooks up with a gorgeous young upstart (Robbie), only to have their prior relationship come back to haunt him three years later when she interferes in his biggest scheme yet.

Directed by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, Focus opens on February 27th. Check out the IMAX trailer plus a shorter UK version below.
