Looks like Arrow's Stephen Amell is trading in his quiver for a backpack full of hockey sticks and golf clubs. Variety reports that he's joined the cast of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel, taking on the role of Casey Jones.
Amell just can't get away from playing masked vigilantes with a fondness for the color green, apparently. Casey Jones is one of the most popular TMNT characters and is often referred to as the "fifth turtle", even though he's totally human. He was introduced in a 1985 miniseries focused on Raphael, and eventually becomes one of the Turtles' most loyal friends. He's also frequently a love interest for April O'Neil, meaning Amell could be steaming up the screen with Megan Fox. The character first appeared on-screen in the 1990 live-action movie portrayed by Elias Koteas. This will be Amell's biggest feature film role to date.
Directed by David Green, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (possibly subtitled "Half-Shell") opens on June 3rd 2016.
