In case you were living in an alien cocoon for the last couple of weeks, there's a new Alien sequel coming from Neill Blomkamp, director of this District 9 and this weekend's Chappie. Only we still don't know a whole lot about it except that Blomkamp intends for it to be connected with the first two movies primarily, and that Sigourney Weaver will return as Ripley to give the character a proper send off. But that concept art Blomkamp revealed that got this thing going also featured Michael Biehn as Corporal Hicks. Is it possible he's coming back, too?
Blomkamp was asked by Digital Spy if he planned to reunite Weaver and Biehn, and his response was simply "Hopefully we see them". While hardly a confirmation of anything, it does seem as if Blomkamp wants to bring Biehn back, and it would be another deviation from the continuity given Hicks' fate in Alien 3.
We've heard plenty from Weaver about playing Ripley again, but what does Biehn think? According to a Reddit user who may have run into Biehn at PensaCon in Florida, the actor said "Looks like it!" when asked if he would be part of the film. He also said that he has already been contacted, so assuming this random Reddit user is accurate we may get some kind of announcement on Biehn soon.
