So the first clip from Jurassic World released yesterday was pretty terrible. Not that it HAD to have dinosaurs in it, but the corny banter between Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard left a lot to be desired. It managed to make the typically charming and funny Pratt look like a jerk. And apparently, Joss Whedon doesn't think much of it either, but he takes his gripes to a whole different level.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron director hit Twitter and totally tore into the clip (in less than 140 characters, good for him), calling it "'70s era sexist". Ouch. His tweet actually came in response to an especially vacuous tweet from The Mary Sue, which is typical for that site.
...and I'm too busy wishing this clip wasn't 70's era sexist. She's a stiff, he's a life-force - really? Still? https://t.co/qqts4jpSva

I mean, it's a pretty bad clip but does it really qualify as sexist? Then again Whedon is someone who has built his career on redefining our perceptions of women in TV and film, so he's particularly keyed-in to this sort of thing.
