'Kingsman: The Secret Service' Sequel Officially In the Works

If there's been an unexpected MVP for 2014 so far it is undoubtedly Kingsman: The Secret Service. The spy comedy surprised everybody with a strong opening against Fifty Shades of Grey, banking more than $400M worldwide so far. Talk of a sequel has been kicking around for the last few weeks, and now Fox is ready to enlist for another mission.

The Wrap reports that a sequel to 'Kingsman' is officially happening, although Fox hasn't made any definitive statements. That means there is no confirmed writer, director, cast, or release date at this point and maybe that's for the best. No need to rush anything.

We don't know if Matthew Vaughn will return to direct, or if they've found a way to bring certain characters back. Vaughn always has a project or two lined up, and right now he's circling a Flash Gordon remake also with Fox.
