Machete Says 'Machete Kills Again in Space' Shoots this Year
Not only does Machete refuse to text, he doesn't know when to take a hint. Neither of Robert Rodriguez's Machete flicks have done particularly well at the box office, but the sequel Machete Kills only managed a paltry $15M worldwide. Granted, these are cheapie flicks to begin with but it's hard to imagine anybody taking a gamble on Machete Kills Again in Space. Then again, Rodriguez rarely does what is expected.
According to Danny Trejo himself, Machete Kills Again in Space is definitely going to happen, meaning we'll get to see the ex-federale slicing up his foes with a lightsaber™ or a reasonable facsimile. He tells Halloween Daily News...
Trejo: "Robert and I are going to start to do Machete Kills in Space, so that's going to be awesome. Absolutely. We're going to be working on it this year."
Machete first appeared as par of Rodriguez's Spy Kids franchise, but gained popularity in a fake trailer as part of the Grindhouse double feature. That led to the 2010 Machete film, and the plan for Machete Kills Again in Space was first teased at the end of 2013's Machete Kills. It's pretty much exactly what the title suggests. You can watch Machete get all the space babes below.
