Right now thousands of eager Marvel fans are either gearing up for Avengers: Age of Ultron or already in the middle of it. While easily one of the darkest films of the MCU, it's nothing compared to the bleak projects from other studios. Not just Warner Bros. and their DC heroes, but apparently also 20th Century Fox and their Fantastic Four reboot which seriously needs to lighten up.
The latest Fantastic Four posters are also pretty grim. If Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell smiled their faces would probably crack. Hopefully this is all just a marketing ploy to show how serious director Josh Trank has taken the film, and there is quite a bit more fun than we've been shown. Fingers crossed.
Fantastic Four opens on August 7th.
