Olivia Wilde Returning as Quorra in 'Tron 3'

While the idea of Tron 3 may not be tremendously exciting, Tron: Legacy did end on one incredibly promising high note. It involved Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) escaping from the Grid back into reality, and riding shotgun with him was the sexy and lethal ISO, Quorra, played by Olivia Wilde. And now it looks like the next film will be able to pick up where the last one left off.

THR confirms that Olivia Wilde will be reprising her role as Quorra, the ISO program who would become Flynn's love interest. Considering she liked the character enough to voice her in the short-lived Tron animated series it's no surprise Wilde would be open to returning. Hedlund has always been expected back, because there would be no movie without him.

Plot details remain slim but it's safe to assume it will deal with the ramifications of Quorra entering the real world, and the likelihood that other programs would follow. Joseph Kosinski is coming back to direct Tron 3 although no official title (it's possibly titled "Ascension") or release date has been confirmed.
