Phil Lord and Chris Miller are Working on DC's 'The Flash' Movie

The fastest superhero alive is about to get the hottest directors in Hollywood. Just a few days ago a rumor broke that The Lego Movie and 22 Jump Street's Phil Lord and Chris Miller may direct The Flash for Warner Bros. They were apparently deciding between that gig and a Ghostbusters film for Sony, with the studios battling to see who would gain their services. Well, it looks like Warner Bros. has won.

Deadline and a number of other outlets report that Lord and Miller are developing The Flash, which we know will star Ezra Miller as the Justice League's speedster. At this point they are only working on a story treatment with no confirmation to direct, but one has to guess that will happen if they are already involved at this stage. So chalk this up as a big win for Warner Bros. and a huge boost to their DC cinematic universe gaining two directors who have had the Midas touch for every project they've tackled.

Lord and Miller still have 23 Jump Street in the works, although they aren't signed to direct that, either. At this point it's unclear what they will actually get behind the camera for next. The Flash isn't expected to hit theaters until some time in 2018.
