"Rogue Cut" of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' Has an Official Runtime

Was X-Men: Days of Future Past, which ran 2+ hours and had something like 50 mutants in it (give or take one or two) simply not enough? Was it the general lack of Anna Paquin's power-absorbing Rogue that made it disappointing? Then last year's reveal of a 'Rogue Cut' extended version for the home video release must have been music to the ears. Well now we know exactly how long this new super-sized cut of the film is going to be.

FilmDivider checked out the BBFC and found that the 'Rogue Cut' will run for 142 minutes and 37 seconds, a full 10 minutes longer than the original just as we were led to expect. So what will those minutes include? Likely a scene where Rogue tries to absorb Kitty Pryde's powers after Wolverine stabs her accidentally. Plus there should be another scene where Rogue is rescued by Iceman, Professor X, and Magneto. Both of those threads were dropped from the theatrical cut so it makes sense to include them here.

The X-Men: Days of Future Past 'Rogue Cut' is expected to arrive this summer.
