We get why Universal and Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow would want to maintain some mystery around the film's dinosaur stars, but surely they could have come up with something better than this dull first clip. The scene features a conversation between Bryce Dallas Howard as park manager Claire Dearing, and Chris Pratt as the roguish Owen Grady. Basically it's a chance for Pratt to turn up the charm, although he comes off as kind of a jerk, while establishing that Owen and Claire had a brief fling. Cue the labored sexual tension.
This scene would have worked better if a pterosaur flew in and plucked them both right off the ground. Hopefully the next clip has sharper teeth. Jurassic World opens June 12th.
