Brad Bird Says He's Begun Writing 'The Incredibles' Sequel
A little over a year ago Disney CEO Bob Iger finally gave fans the news they were waiting for: The Incredibles 2 is in the works. Of all the Pixar sequels we've seen that nobody was really asking for, it was always strange that the one fans really wanted seemed like such a low priority. Well maybe now that's about to change.
While speaking with NPR (via ThePlaylist), Brad Bird has given a slight update on The Incredibles sequel, saying that he's begun work on the screenplay, which means that a story has been settled upon...
“It’s percolating … yeah, I mean, I’m just starting to write it, so we’ll see what happens.”
The last thing we heard was Samuel L. Jackson commenting that the ice-based hero Frozone would return, but that's all we know so far. Presumably Bird would again direct and the voice cast, which includes Craig T. Nelson and Holly Hunter, will be back as well. So this is still a long ways off but any news on The Incredibles 2 is good news.
Bird is currently busy getting ready for the premiere of Tomorrowland on May 22nd.
