The 'Suicide Squad' Assembles in New Cast Photo; Jim Parrack Joins as Deathstroke

David Ayer's Twitter feed is chock full of updates on Suicide Squad, which is gearing up for production soon. The star-studded villain film already has a huge ensemble, but with Ayer releasing the first set photo featuring the entire cast, minus Jared Leto, we see there have been some new additions.

In the image you see Will Smith as Deadshot, his Focus co-star Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Adewale Akkinuoye-Agbage as Killer Croc, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo.

The image also reveals a few new faces, including Neighbors' Ike Barinholtz who will be playing Batman villain Hugo Strange, Adam Beach (Flags of Our Fathers) in the role of Ravan, and Karen Fukuhara as Plastique. But the most notable addition is Jim Parrack (True Blood), who is taking on the role of Deathstroke. Joe Manganiello had been up for the part but has apparently backed out.

So now you can count one more Bat-villain among the ranks, making this look more like a Batman-centered film than ever. It also lends credence to a recent rumor the story will take place between Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Suicide Squad opens August 5th 2016.
