A Sequel to 'Ouija' has been Conjured Up for 2016

After scoring more than a $100M on a tiny, micro-budget and no huge stars, will Blumhouse and Universal give us a Ouija sequel? The board says "yes".  The studios have set Oculus scribes Mike Flanagan and Jeff Howard to pen Ouija 2 for release on October 21st 2016, just in time for Halloween.

The first film starred Me and Earl and the Dying Girl's Olivia Cooke and a cast mostly made up of unknowns, centering on a group of teens who use their ouija board to contact a dead friend, only to unleash something terrible. This one will be more of the same, following a group of unsuspecting friends who must confront their most terrifying fears when they unleash an evil from the other side that only they can send back.

The first film wasn't just bad, it was a thudding bore.  Certainly it wasn't the strongest of the Blumhouse stable of horrors. Hopefully they can find a way to conjure up a few more scares otherwise I predict this franchise is done.
