Quick, what was the last blockbuster studio film Laura Linney starred in? You probably can't name one because it almost never happens. She generally sticks to smaller character roles (she should be an Oscar winner by now), and her two biggest box office hits were Congo and Mystic River, neither of which were huge. But all of that is changing now as THR reports she has a role in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.
Linney joins Megan Fox, Stephen Amell, Tyler Perry, Brian Tee, and Will Arnett in the sequel to the $485M film which will be directed by Earth to Echo's David Green. Linney's role is being kept a mystery at this point, but if it's as unexpected as Tyler Perry playing Baxter Stockman it should be a lot of fun. Maybe she'll be April O'Neil's pal, Irma? Nah, she'll probably just be O'Neil's boss or something.
