There's a lot of hate out there for Blake Lively, and honestly I don't see why. The Gossip Girl star has indeed had a shaky career on the big screen but solid performances in The Town and The Age of Adaline should be quieting her critics a little bit. She's certainly caught the attention of top filmmakers who are dying to work with her, but it will be Woody Allen who gets the next shot.
Lively has joined the cast of Allen's next film which we know will reunite Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart alongside Bruce Willis. We still don't know anything about the plot or a title, all par for the course for the legendary director. Allen definitely chose her because she's talented not because she's gorgeous...right?
Filming will begin this summer, right around the time Allen's Irrational Man hits theaters. [Deadline]
