After recent reports that Dreamworks Animation is in the financial doghouse (thanks to a few high-profile flops), the studio is looking to bounce back with their battle-tested franchises. It's going to be awhile until we get How to Train Your Dragon 3, and there aren't any more Shrek movies coming. Fortunately, Dreamworks still has Kung Fu Panda 3 ready to karate chop the box office into submission.
After an international trailer debuted (and was quickly removed) a few days ago, the first English-language version has been released. Jack Black returns as Po, who encounters his long-lost father Li (Bryan Cranston) and learns the existence of a secret panda community. His happiness may be short-lived as Po is forced to confront a supernatural warrior named Kai who is stealing the powers of the kung fu masters he defeats.
Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, and David Cross return to voice the Furious Five, with Rebel Wilson, Dustin Hoffman, and James Hong also part of the cast. Kung Fu Panda 3 opens January 29th 2016.
