Producer Adi Shankar has carved himself an interesting place in Hollywood. While he's produced major studio films like Lone Survivor and The Grey, he's most notable for his comic book movie projects, such as Dredd and his loosely-connected universe of shorts featuring The Punisher, Venom, and the Power Rangers. Now Shankar is making a move behind the camera for his directorial debut, a superhero film titled Adi Shankar's Gods and Secrets, and he's gathered a cast made up of former Bond Girls, Twilight alums, and one pro wrestling legend.
Shankar and Stewart Yost will co-direct the dark superhero film from a script by Shawn DeLoache. The cast they've assembled includes Denise Richards (The World is Not Enough), Jane Seymour (Live and Let Die), Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone (The Twilight Saga), Sharni Vinson (You're Next), Alexandra Billings (Transparent), pro wrestling superstar Diamond Dallas Page (The Devil's Rejects), and comedian Andy Milonakis. Here's the official synopsis:
“Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secrets” explores the darker ramifications of a world with super heroes, both on the people they protect, and the heroes themselves. Tragedy has struck the Guardians of Justice, and in its aftermath secrets are revealed, lives are changed, and the war to end all wars begins. Death, secrets, and lies threaten to tear the Guardians of Justice apart, and the world with them.Here's a rundown of the super-powered characters they'll be taking on:
Diamond Dallas Page as KNIGHT HAWK -- A man who has seen the worst humanity has to offer and decided, no more. With an arsenal of gadgets, a personal fortune, and no super powers… he is a detective, a warrior, and a pragmatist.
Jackson Rathbone as BLUE SCREAM - A super hero turned reality star. With his sonic scream, he is the loudest being on the planet...it’s too bad no one ever listens to him.

Andy Milonakis as PHIL HART - is the #1 talk show host in the world. He mixes crude humor, viral videos, and incredible celebrity guests to be a one-stop shop of news and entertainment for anything and everything that’s now.
It's unclear how Shankar plans to release the film, or if he'll take a role in it, as well. Anything that helps mix up the superhero movie offerings out there is a good idea, and hopefully there will be more info on this one soon.
