Practically every Avenger under the sun is going to show up in Captain America: Civil War because...well, it's a war and that requires plenty of soldiers. But there will also be plenty of new faces, from Spider-Man to Baron Zemo, and finally Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther. There has been no shortage of set photos since filming began a few months but, but the Black Panther hasn't been seen in any of them until now.
What appears to be the first image of Boseman's Black Panther in what looks like an action sequence involving Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier. The costume looks similar to the concept art Marvel released some time ago, which is a bit closer in design to the "Ultimate" version seen in the comics. All we really know about the character's role in the film is that he'll be neutral in the ideological war that erupts between Iron Man and Captain America. His first priority is to his nation of Wakanda and protecting their greatest natural resource, the rare metal Vibranium which was used to forge Captain America's shield.
Captain America: Civil War opens May 6th 2016.
