The Flash doesn't return for another couple of months, but CW is getting you ready for the second season already with a promo that zips along faster than Barry Allen on Red Bull. The new season promises we'll learn more about the Speed Force, original speedster Jay Garrick, and the alternate dimension known as Earth-2. None of those are seen here, but two key villains do make an appearance.
In the 10-second spot we see the villain Atom Smasher, played by ex-WWE superstar Adam "Edge" Copeland, being challenged to catch Barry Allen if he can. Good luck with that. We also see Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, likely building to his starring role in spinoff DC's Legends of Tomorrow. There's also what appears to be some kind of Flash signal, similar to the Bat-Signal. Let's hope that's not what it actually is!
The Flash returns to the CW on October 6th.
