Self-help books about finding love are nothing new, but what's still a relatively recent phenomenon is turning them into feature films. He's Just Not That Into You was one of the first that tried to teach women a thing or two about the whims of the opposite sex, and the book it was based on was co-written by Liz Tuccillo, who apparently has more love lessons to teach. Her book How to Be Single has been turned into a comedy featuring an impressive roster of stars, and the first trailer for the rom-com has arrived.
Starring Dakota Johnson, Rebel Wilson, Alison Brie, Damon Wayans Jr., Jake Lacy, Leslie Mann, Jason Mantzoukas, and Nicholas Braun, the film centers on clueless single New Yorkers trying to navigate the wild and woolly dating scene. It's interesting to see Wilson in what looks a lot like Amy Schmuer's Trainwreck role, with Johnson as the naive one taking all of her terrible advice. This actually looks much better than it has any right to given the well-worn subject matter.
