Scott Eastwood Joins 'Live by Night', Margaret Qualley Finds 'Death Note', 'Bees Make Honey' for Alice Eve
Ben Affleck has cast his Suicide Squad mate Scott Eastwood in Live by Night, the Prohibition-era crime drama that he is gearing up to direct. The film centers on a police captain's son on the opposing side of the law, who rises in the ranks of organized crime in Boston. Sienna Miller, Chris Messina, Chris Cooper, Zoe Saldana, and Elle Fanning co-star, with Warner Bros. planning to release the film in 2017. [TheWrap]
The Leftovers' actress Margaret Qualley has signed on for the female lead role in Death Note, Adam Wingard's adaptation of the popular Japanese manga. She joins the previously cast Nat Wolff, who plays a student with a supernatural notebook that allows him to kill anyone simply by writing their name in it. He begins working with the book's demonic creator to cleanse the world of evil, but becomes the target of a brilliant investigator. [Deadline]
Alice Eve (Before We Go) will produce and star in the indie film, Bees Make Honey, which was written and directed by her brother, Jack Eve.
