That Daniel Craig Cameo In 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Actually Happened

Remember that rumor a few months, spilled by Simon Pegg accidentally, that Daniel Craig had a cameo as a Stormtrooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens? It sounded kinda dumb, but Pegg seemed embarrassed and Craig's denial pretty flaky.  Well, turns out it actually did happen, and  chances are you can guess which trooper he was. Beware of a tiny spoiler coming up!

The confirmation comes from EW's Chris Lee, who was the target of Craig's initial smackdown. As for where you can find Craig in the film? Remember that poor Stormtrooper put in charge of watching over Daisy Ridley's Rey? The one who became the unwitting victim of her growing Force powers? "You will remove these restraints and leave this cell with the door open."  Craig's character, perhaps showing a bit of James Bond-esque stubborness, responded with "I’ll tighten those restraints, scavenger scum,” before his mind was finally overwhelmed and he did as instructed.

Who knows if Craig will ever verify any of this, but it's a fun thought, either way. With both 'The Force Awakens' and Spectre shooting in Pinewood at the same time it totally could have happened. Now how about Harrison Ford as the next Bond villain, just to make things square?
