New U.S. Trailer For Western 'Jane Got A Gun' Starring Natalie Portman
This is going to be a very busy year for Natalie Portman. She's currently shooting Pablo Larrain's Jackie, in which she plays former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy (a look at that here). That one's sure to make a lot of noise, but Portman also has Terrence Malick's Knight of Cups hitting theaters, and then she begins filming on Alex Garland's Annihilation co-starring Gina Rodriguez and Tessa Thompson. But before all of that she has Jane Got a Gun, the troubled Western which is finally, and perhaps surprisingly, about to hit U.S. theaters.
Formerly set to be directed by Lynne Ramsay but taken over by Gavin O'Connor, the film stars and is produced by Portman who is joined in the cast by Ewan McGregor, Joel Edgerton, Rodrigo Santoro, Noah Emmerich, and Boyd Holbrook. She plays a frontier woman whose no-good husband is pursued by a gang out to kill him, so she turns to her ex-lover for help.
Jane Got a Gun opens on January 29th. Check out the new trailer below.
