Speaking with Filmstarts, Reynolds expressed a desire to see an X-Force movie on the big screen. It's not the first time he's talked about having Deadpool meet up with the militaristic mutant team that kicked his ass in his very first comic book appearance, but this is the most pumped Reynolds has been for it..
"There’s so much material to mine in just the X-Men universe … In the future, if we’re doing a bunch more Deadpool movies, we’re really going to explore the X-Men a lot. We’ll see. And maybe X-Force — X-Force is my priority. I really want to get that in."
A couple of years ago just before Comic-Con, Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2) was revealed to be writing an X-Force movie, but nothing has been heard about it since. Fox has instead moved forward on New Mutants, which shares a number of characters with the original version of X-Force. The concept art we've seen includes Cable aka the cloned son of Scott "Cyclops" Summers, Warpath, Domino, Cannonball, and Feral. Reynolds has talked about the possibility of having Cable appear in a Deadpool sequel and that could be a lead-in to an X-Force movie, assuming it's green lit.
All of this really depends on Deadpool being a hit. Right now the future of the X-Men franchise includes Gambit, New Mutants, and the final Wolverine film with Hugh Jackman.
