Ryan Reynolds Is Everywhere In New Super Bowl Ad; Deadpool Encourages Breast Cancer Exams

Towards the end of last year we had already begun to talk about Deadpool overkill. That was around the "12 Days of Deadpool" promotion 20th Century Fox had cooked up for Ryan Reynolds' R-rated comic book film, and in the time since the marketing hasn't slowed down at all. It's increased, if anything, and is only going to get worse with the film expected to be everywhere this Super Bowl weekend.

Getting it all started is "Ryanville", the Super Bowl ad for Hyundai that features not one, not two, but multiple versions of Ryan Reynolds. What does it have to do with cars? Or Deadpool? Not much, other than the use of Salt 'N Pepa's "Shoop" which features in the Deadpool trailers.

Meanwhile, another curious promo has the Merc with a Mouth promoting breast cancer awareness because who doesn't love the ta-ta's? It's all a little weird and totally out of left field (why not Chimichanga Awareness Month?), but that's clearly what Fox is going for.

Deadpool hits theaters on February 12th.
