John Cena, Triple H, And The Undertaker Hang Ten For 'Surfs Up 2: WaveMania'

With WWE currently on the Road to WrestleMania, you'd think they'd be busy prepping for the biggest show of the year. And yet Vince McMahon is busy striking movie deals, joining Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for Surfs Up 2: WaveMania, a sequel to the 2007 animated Oscar nominee, Surf's Up.

McMahon will be joined by WWE superstars John Cena, The Undertaker, Triple H, and Paige in lending their voices to the film about surfing penguins. The film marks the directorial debut of Henry Yu, the protegee of Genndy Tartakovsky (Hotel Transylvania), and you can see some stylistic similarities in the released teaser images showing the WWE superstar with their feathered counterpart. Here's the synopsis:

Cody Maverick, hungry for a new challenge, convinces an infamous big wave riding crew known as The Hang 5, voiced by WWE Superstars John Cena, The Undertaker, Triple H, WWE Diva Paige and Mr. McMahon, to let him join them on their journey to a mysterious surf spot known as The Trenches, where legend has it, they’ll find the biggest waves in the world. Cody soon discovers that the life he left behind might be more heroic than what any death-defying wave has to offer.

Surfs Up 2: WaveMania will be released in 2017, and expect it to get heavy promotion on all WWE TV and the WWE Network.
