Check Out Batman In The Crazy New 'Suicide Squad' Trailer

Depending on who you talk to, Suicide Squad is undergoing reshoots to fix one of a couple of problems. The initial report claimed it was to lighten the one, due to complaints that 'Batman v Superman' was too dark. But star Jai Courtney, who plays Captain Boomerang in the villain film, says it was actually to make it more exciting. He told ET....

“...I wouldn’t say we’re going back to make it funnier. There’s some additional action stuff that we’ve been doing, which is pretty dope. Really, we’re just kind of adding in that sense.”

Of course, that hasn't stopped some from claiming Warner Bros. is trying to make it more like Deadpool, But it's worth noting that the original trailer that got everyone so excited, and the new "Blitz" cut release tonight, have an offbeat tone already. And the focus is definitely on the humor this time with everyone getting their share of one-liners, especially Margot Robbie as the "vexing" Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as the Joker.

But look closely and you'll notice a certain Caped Crusader appearing in a couple of quick scenes. In one, he's carrying an injured Harley Quinn into the Batmobile, and in another he's holding on tight to a speeding purple car, clearly the Joker's vehicle of choice.  Ben Affleck's only supposed to have a cameo so don't expect them to tease much more of the Dark Knight's role.

Also starring Will Smith as Deadshot, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Adam Beach as Slipknot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Adewale Akkinuoye-Agbage as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as Diablo, and Common as Monsta T, David Ayer's Suicide Squad opens August 5th.
