Elisabeth Moss Joins 'Force Majeur' Director's Follow-Up, 'The Square'
For many, Elisabeth Moss will always be Peggy Olson on Mad Men, but she's doing as much as possible to make her big screen career stand out even more. Recently she's been working with directors of the auteur variety, such as Ben Wheatley, Reed Morano, Alex Ross Perry, and Jane Campion, and now you can add Force Majeure director Ruben Ostlund to that impressive list.
Moss will star in Ostlund's next film, The Square, a dark comedy set against the backdrop of the international art scene. While Ostlund has previously suggested it would be his English-language debut, the casting would seem to suggest otherwise. Moss is joined by Danish actors Claes Bang and Christopher Laesso, along with renowned international gallery owner, Marina Schiptjenko. The story centers on a well intentioned art gallery exhibit that goes over the line before it even opens.
Filming begins this June, but for now you can check out Moss in Ben Wheatley's thriller, High-Rise. [THR]
