Margot Robbie May Join Winnie The Pooh Film, 'Goodbye Christopher Robin'

With Suicide Squad, a newly-announced Harley Quinn spinoff, and The Legend of Tarzan on the way, Margot Robbie is going to be plenty busy with big studio films. That said, it shouldn't be forgotten just how strong of a dramatic actress she is, such as with her underrated performance in Z for Zachariah. And while she's got more than enough going on already, it's good to hear that she's not leaving smaller roles behind completely.

Variety reports Robbie as being in talks for Goodbye Christopher Robin, a biopic on "Winnie the Pooh" creator, A.A. Milne.  She'd play Milne's wife Daphne, with the author portrayed by Domhnall Gleeson in the story of his relationship with son Christopher Robin that inspired the Winnie the Pooh stories and characters. Pooh was named after Christopher favorite teddy bear, while the central human character in the fictional 100 Acre Wood was named Christopher Robin.

Simon Curtis (My Week with Marilyn, the Intouchables remake) is on board to direct from a script by Simon Vaughan, and right now there's no word on a start date. It sounds like the kind of project Robbie could fit in between DCU commitments, though.
