Paramount isn't just giving you one Transformers movie, they're giving you a whole cinematic universe. And it's not just a Transformers universe, it's one that encompasses pretty much every Hasbro toyline. Could a TF/G.I. Joe crossover happen some day? Maybe, but first you're get Transformers 5, once again directed by Michael Bay who really swears this is the final time. And now we know what we can officially call that film Transformers: The Last Knight.
That's the title of Bay's upcoming film which will bring back Mark Wahlberg as inventor Cade Yeager, along with new additions Isabela Moner (100 Things to Do Before High School) as the film’s female lead, Izabella. Jerrod Carmichael (Neighbors) also has an unspecified supporting role.
So what could that title mean? It's possible that Optimus Prime will be sent on some kind of quest, most likely to Cybertron, to find some kind of legendary Autobot artifact, maybe a sword-like weapon? This is all speculation, of course, and will be until more details emerge. Transformers: The Last Knight opens June 23rd 2017. Check out the newly-released graphic from the film's Instagram page.
