'Bad Boys 3' Gets A New Title And 2018 Release Date

“We ride together, we die together. Bad boys for life.”

If you're one of those who has been waiting patiently for another Bad Boys movie, then you not only remember this quote from Bad Boys II but you're practically living it. Despite Martin Lawrence's constant prodding it's taken forever for him and partner-in-crime Will Smith to reteam for a third film, and while it's definitely happening along with an apparent fourth movie, the wait is going to be a little bit longer. At least fans will get a new title out of it.

Bad Boys 3 has been retitled Bad Boys for Life, obviously based on that quote, coinciding with a shift in release date to January 12th 2018. The Joe Carnahan-directed film had been set for February 2017, only to get bumped to June, but January seems like the best option to avoid serious competition. Right now it will compete against the delayed Maze Runner: The Death Cure and animated sequel Sherlock Gnomes.

As for Bad Boys 4 (Bad Boys for Eternity?), Sony still has it pegged for July 3rd 2019. Don't expect that date to stick, and there's still a chance it doesn't happen at all. We could see the two movies combined into one, or audiences may reject it the way they've been killing sequels all summer.
