Rumored Details On Two 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Villains
Right now there are two confirmed villains in Spider-Man: Homecoming. One is the Vulture, who we expect to be played by Michael Keaton. The other is the Tinkerer, played by the newly-cast Michael Chernus. They aren't likely to be the only ones, though, as Bokeem Woodbine and Logan Marshall-Green were reported to be baddies, as well. Well now we have new rumors on who one of those villains could be, as well as info on Tinkerer's connection to a certain Avenger.
The info comes from Heroic Hollywood who say the Tinkerer will be someone fired by Tony Stark years earlier, which is why he now uses his engineering skills to build weapons for the Vulture and...Shocker, apparently Woodbine's role. With Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man playing a mentor figure to Peter Parker it wouldn't be a surprise to see them team up to take Shocker down, and probably Tinkerer, too.
Of all of Spider-Man's enemies, Shocker is probably the most consistently mediocre. His motivations are pretty much all about financial gain and rarely go beyond that. In the comics he designed a pair of gauntlets known as "Vibro-Smashers" which give him the ability to generate intense vibrations. He's frequently been paired up with the Trapster and it makes me wonder if perhaps that is who Marshall-Green will be playing.
Spider-Man: Homecoming opens July 7th 2017.
