David O. Russell, Julianne Moore, Robert De Niro Teaming On TV Limited Series

Whether it's been Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Jennifer Lawrence, or Bradley Cooper, David O. Russell has never had problems attracting star power. For his last three movies he's also been able to count on screen legend Robert De Niro, and it looks like that partnership is moving to the small screen with a new project that already has Hollywood buzzing.

Apparently the hottest project going around right now is a TV limited series O. Russell is developing that he will direct and will star De Niro and Julianne Moore. Details are slim and it seems like the particulars are being hashed out well in advance, but we could be talking about a serialized cop/crime thriller set in the '90s. There aren't any networks formally on board yet but some big dollars are being thrown around in hopes of landing an early commitment without seeing a single bit of information on it. That's the power of having such big names attached.

O. Russell can already count Annapurna Pictures' Megan Ellison as a producer, and you can bet other backers will be hopping on this train soon. [Deadline]
