James Corden And Rose Byrne Hop On Over To Sony's 'Peter Rabbit' Film
Who's ready to go down the rabbit hole? Author Beatrix Potter's funny bunny Peter Rabbit was the star of her most famous book, 1902's The Adventures of Peter Rabbit, which spawned a number of sequels, TV series, a ballet, new adventures by Emma Thompson, and so much merchandise it was as if they kept multiplying like a bunch of horny jackrabbits. Well you can also add live-action/CGI movie to that list, and it will star James Corden and Rose Byrne.
THR reports Corden and Byrne are in talks for the big screen version of Potter's book, with Will Gluck (Annie) on board to direct. The story is being described as a modern interpretation depicting the rivalry between mischievous Peter Rabbit, voiced by Corden, and Mr. McGregor, a senior who just wants to keep rabbits out of his garden. Byrne will take on an unspecified live-action role, presumably not as Mr. McGregor. Rob Lieber wrote the script with Gluck doing the latest rewrites.
Peter Rabbit has already been set to hop into theaters on March 23rd 2018.
