It's God Vs. Goth In Trailer For 'Little Sister' Starring Addison Timlin

It's God vs. goth in the new trailer for Little Sister, an indie dramedy that debuted to some strong reviews at Fantasia Fest. The film stars Addison Timlin (Odd Thomas) as Colleen, a young woman on the cusp of becoming a nun. She's been avoiding her parents (Ally Sheedy and Peter Hedges)) in North Carolina until an email reveals that her brother (Keith Poulson) has returned home from the Iraq War.

Upon returning home Colleen sees that everything is as she left it. Her room is still painted black and covered in goth/metal posters, and it helps pull her back to a life she hoped to get away from. Her brother is all scarred up and living as a recluse, there's tension with the parentals, there are pot cupcakes everywhere, Halloween is right around the corner, and GWAR. Something's gotta give.

Zach Clark (White Reindeer) wrote and directed but the biggest influence may be producer Joe Swanberg, known for similarly small-scale films like Drinking Buddies, Digging for Fire, and Happy Christmas.  This looks bizarre and totally unique so count me in, and that it stars Timlin, who I feel is way overlooked, only has me more interested. Little Sister opens October 14th.
